TSI is the world-leader in the development and manufacture of precision instruments used to measure flow, particulate, and other key parameters in environments. In fact, their equipment has been sent into space to measure wind velocity and direction on Mars. But the look and ergonomics of their products hadn’t received an update in over 15 years.

Solution
WhiteBoard was able to help this established company make their products even more indispensable by redefining their appearance. Within a matter of weeks, they simultaneously took two designs down parallel paths, producing detailed prototypes of each for extensive review. The winning solution provides greater balance and a contoured shape to better conform to users’ hands. Repositioning the control panel put the buttons within thumb’s reach. And the wand holder was redesigned to be more integrated and less conspicuous. In the end, this solution was developed to last the client another 10-15 years.
