The time had come for Nonin Medical to update its successful 8600 Pulse Oximeter, a standard in the industry for 15 years. They needed a partner that could provide concept ideation, industrial design, 3D design intent database generation, SLS prototyping, and CNC machining. |
Solution
WhiteBoard designed and engineered the striking new Nonin 7500, creating a streamlined new user interface, while reducing part count and dramatically reducing assembly time by 83%! Working in concert with Nonin’s in-house development team, WhiteBoard also improved the oximeter’s product durability and water penetration resistance to meet new testing standards. In addition, carefully planned tooling inserts give Nonin the ability to manufacture specific product variants without additional tooling.
