When Zoll Medical sought WhiteBoard out, their personal defibrillator was already on the market and in use by many patients though was in need of a major visual redesign.

WhiteBoard interviewed current users of the device to gather firsthand feedback. Based on the feedback, the physical devise was structurally and aesthetically improved. A GUI flowchart was also established to create a more intuitive flow through the dozens of possible screens. 80+ new icons were designed to improve user understanding and a visual style that complimented the upscale redesigned device.
